The death has occurred of William Tumulty
Hackballscross, Dundalk, Louth
We would like to acknowledge the death of our good friend, William (Billy) Aloysius Tumulty on 11th March 2021.
Billy, who was born in the Bronx, New York, on 1st August 1931, was brought up in Hackballscross, Co Louth. Billy left home and travelled extensively around the UK and Africa, working in the piledriving industry before settling in Manchester in the early 1980s. He spent the rest of his life in south Manchester, well known and well liked in the local area, doing odd jobs, maintaining his allotment and riding his electric bike.
Billy was shielding during the pandemic when he fell, was taken to a hospital and then a nursing home. He died a short time later.
Sadly Billy, who was one of six brothers, had lost touch with all his relatives. He had not returned to Ireland since the 1980s. If any relatives of Billy would like to know more, we can be contacted at firstname.lastname@example.org and we can pass on any information we have about our friend.
