Peacefully at his home on the 15th of September 2021, whilst surrounded by his loving family.

Pre-deceased by his parent’s and by his brothers Fr. John & Tony and recently by his sister Phil Slevin.

Cherished husband and best friend of Moira and adored father of Declan, Justin, William, Dorothy and Marguerite.

Fondly remembered by his sons-in-law, daughters-in-law, and by his much loved grandchildren.

Sadly missed by his sister Peggy, brother’s Vincent and Jimmy, sisters-in-law, brothers-in-law, nephews, nieces, cousins, relatives, extended family, neighbours, friends and especially by all his friends in the horse world and tourisim industry.

Willie will lie in repose at his residence on Friday 17th from 5 to 8 pm for family and close friends following Government guidelines of 50% capacity on indoor gatherings, with face mask to be used at all times.

Willie’s funeral cortége will arrive to St. Dympna’s Church, Kilnadeema, for Requiem Mass at time 3 pm on Saturday 18th of September followed by burial in the adjoining cemetery. The church now has 50% capacity on indoor gatherings, with a face mask to be used at all times. House private for family and close friends please.

The above arrangements will take place in accordance with current Government and HSE guidelines on public gatherings.

Willie’s friends wishing to support the Leahy family at this sad time may do so and please adhere to Government Guidelines on social distancing if standing along the route of the funeral cortége from Willie’s Home, via Aille to St. Dympna’s Church, Kilnadeema.
