Asthma Society of Ireland
We are focused on representing people with asthma and working to improve their health outcomes.
Despite its extensive prevalence in the community, asthma remains, in many ways a forgotten disease despite its social, economic and personal impacts.
We will continue to push for better services and care management and for initiatives at a national level to address the high cost of asthma care for people with asthma and their families.
Donate Now
As a voluntary organization, we are completely dependent on the support of the general public and the corporate sector.
Our work in educating and advising almost half a million asthma sufferers in Ireland is funded primarily by the donations and the fundraising efforts of people just like YOU. Your support will mean we can fund vital research projects into the causes of asthma and trying to prevent it developing in the first place.
By choosing to make a donation to us, you are helping the hundreds of thousands of people in Ireland who are affected by asthma.

Giving in Memory
Losing a loved one is one of the hardest things you may ever have to face. But during a time of sadness, finding a way to honour the memory of your loved one can be of some comfort. If you're considering ways in which to commemorate their life, you might like to think about giving a gift in memory.
It can be a lovely way to pay tribute to them and can be particularly poignant if it's for a cause that was close to their heart.
Leave a gift in your will
We know that your first priority when making a will is to provide for your loved ones, but many people find that even after they’ve done this they can leave something to a cause they hold dear.
Leaving the Asthma Society of Ireland a gift in your will is one of the most valuable and lasting ways you can support us. It costs nothing during your lifetime but will have a powerful impact for years to come.
There are a number of different ways you can remember the Asthma Society of Ireland in your will, depending on your circumstances. It doesn’t have to be a large amount, because every cent makes a difference.
How your money helps
Funds raised go towards our work in reducing the number of asthma deaths in Ireland. Our main areas of work are:
|
Education |
Providing information to asthma patients and their families on how best to manage their asthma and avoid complications. |
|
Patient Services |
We provide asthma clinics around the country, and provide training for healthcare professionals on how best to advise asthma patients. |
|
Research |
We fund research programmes into the treatment and causes of asthma. |
|
Working for Change |
We lobby the government on behalf of asthma patients across Ireland to ensure that they receive the best, most up-to-date treatment and their needs are met at all levels. |
