Aware

Aware is the national charity which provides support, education and information around depression and bipolar disorder.

Aware was established in 1985, growing from one local support group to a nationwide network. The range of supports offered include Support Groups, Support Line, Support Mail and Life Skills programmes.

Aware also provides information and education for loved ones as well as youth mental health programmes which are delivered in schools nationwide.

Our mission is to create a society where people with depression and bipolar disorder and their families are understood and supported, free from stigma, with access to appropriate therapies and support services.  Aware services are provided free of charge.
