Cystic Fibrosis Ireland

Cystic Fibrosis Ireland (CFI) was set up in 1963 to improve the treatment and facilities for people with Cystic Fibrosis (CF) in Ireland. CFI is a national organisation with branches throughout the country. CF is Ireland’s most common life-threatening genetically inherited disease. While as yet there is no cure, new improved treatments have made a huge difference to the lives of people with CF.

CFI services include:

•    Provision of support and services for people with CF and their families.

•    Funding for medical research.

•    Provision of funding towards new CF units in hospitals throughout the country.

•    Advocacy and lobbying for increased and improved services for people with CF.
