The family of the late Maureen O'Connor Cullen, whose first anniversary occurs on 27th May 2021, would like to express our sincere gratitude and heartfelt thanks to everyone who sympathised with us at the time of our very sad loss. For those who phoned or sent message of condolences, left beautiful online tributes, mass cards, letters or who shared a happy memory of Maureen, we are truly grateful for everyone's sympathy and support and for the many kind words expressed about Maureen.
We know that many more of her neighbours and friends would liked to have attended her funeral to celebrate her life, however, due to the restrictions this was not possible. To those who came to pay their respects en route from the church to the cemetery and those who attended at the cemetery, your presence brought much comfort to us and was greatly appreciated.
Maureen's wish was to remain living at home for as long as possible and thank you to the neighbours, friends and home helps whose invaluable support made this possible. In particular, thank you to all the Mayes and her home help Josephine. When her illness no longer allowed this, everyone in Baileys Nursing Home who looked after Maureen with immense kindness, especially all the dedicated staff who cared for Maureen during the last few weeks of her life. It was a very difficult time but knowing that Maureen was safe in their care was comforting.
To those who helped in any way, your contribution made our loss more bearable. As it would be impossible to thank everyone individually, please accept this acknowledgement as an expression of deepest gratitude.
