As we lovingly remember Joe, a wonderful husband, father, grandfather, father-in-law, brother, uncle and friend, we fondly remember his generous nature.
Mary and Gráinne wish to express their sincere gratitude and appreciation to everyone who supported them at such a difficult time. We know that many of you would have liked to attend Joe's funeral but due to restrictions this was not possible. We took great comfort from your presence outside the church, your online presence and at the graveyard. This was a beautiful tribute to Joe at such an unprecedented time.
A special thanks to our extended family, neighbours and friends for your thoughtfulness and support.
We offer our thanks to all who sent Mass cards, sympathy cards, letters, texts and telephone calls. To all who expressed condolences online and donated to charity in memory of Joe. Your words brought great comfort to us.
We would like to acknowledge Joe's GP Dr. Higgins and team, Sinead and staff at Quinn's pharmacy for their help over the years. Thanks to the doctors, nurses and carers in Sligo University Hospital, Galway University Hospital, St. John's and Ard na Greine nursing home for their excellent care of Joe.
To Fr. Holmes who officiated at Joe's funeral Mass, thank you most sincerely for your kind and meaningful words. Thank you to Canon George McHale and Fr. John Reilly for your years of friendship. Thanks also to McGowan's Undertakers for their sensitive and professional handling of arrangements. We greatly appreciate your kindness.
Please accept this acknowledgement as a token for our sincere appreciation and gratitude. The Holy Sacrifice of the Mass will be offered for your intentions.
