Tom Kenny

Breifne, Rosses Point, Sligo

Tom’s wife Ada, daughter Kate, sons Thomas, Conor and Brian, son-in-law Shane, and extended family wish to express our deep gratitude to all who sympathised with us as we mourned the loss of our dear Tom, a beloved husband, father, grandfather and best friend.  A special thanks to those who sent Mass cards, gifts, charitable donations, floral tributes, letters, online messages of sympathy and shared memories - your words and individual stories of Tom gave us joy and comfort.

We warmly thank the doctors, nurses and caregivers who attended Tom during his illness, especially the Hospice Care team, Dr. Donal Murray and the staff at Sligo University Hospital for the compassion and kindness extended to Tom in his final days.

Thank you to Fr. Michael Drumm for his support and celebration of Tom’s funeral Mass, to Sinead Conway and Niamh Crowley for providing the beautiful music, and to those who attended the Mass or joined us online from near and far.

We greatly appreciated the Guard of Honour formed by Tom’s friends from County Sligo Golf Club, the Rotary Club of Sligo and former colleagues from Kilcawley Building and Civil Engineering Ltd., Sligo. We extend a very special thank you to our kind neighbours, relatives and friends who stood in respectful tribute along the route from our home to St. Columba’s Church and onward through Ballincar to Rathcormac Cemetery. Our thanks also to Seán Feehily Funeral Services for their sensitive and professional handling of the funeral arrangements.

As it would not be possible to thank everyone individually, please accept this acknowledgement as a token of our sincere appreciation and gratitude. The Holy Sacrifice of the Mass has been offered for your intentions.

Month’s Mind Mass for Tom will be celebrated at St. Columba’s Church, Rosses Point on Sunday, 6th June 2021, at 11.00am.
