Highgate London, Toe Head, Bridgetown, Skibbereen, Cork

On this first anniversary Derek, Nollaig, Rachel, Jerome and Hannah, Nick, Barry and Tiss, and all the McCarthy family, lovingly remember Eleanor, wife, mother, mother-in law, grandmother, sister, and friend to many.

We wish to express our sincere gratitude and appreciation to everybody who supported us at such a difficult time.  We know that many of you would have liked to attend Eleanor’s funeral but due to restrictions this was not possible. We took great comfort from your presence online, and in the many cards, notices, and condolences that we received. They were a beautiful tribute to Eleanor. We are also grateful for the donations to the RNLI made in her name.

A special thanks to our Toe Head and London neighbours, and friends in Ireland, Britain, and around the world, for your thoughtfulness, emotional support, and comfort, and for continuing to provide it throughout this difficult year.

To all who sent Mass cards, beautifully written letters of sympathy and those who contacted us by phone, thank you.  Your words brought great solace to us.

Thanks too to Fr. Mark White CP for conducting Eleanor’s funeral service so sensitively, and to Fr. Nicholas Postlethwaite CP for all his support.

Please accept this acknowledgment as a token of our sincere appreciation and gratitude.  An Anniversary Mass will be offered for the intentions of all.

“May Eleanor’s gentle soul rest in eternal peace”
