As Noel’s First Anniversary approaches, we, Margaret, Elaine, Eoin, Sinéad, Brian, Ciara, Colin and Damian, wish to express our heartfelt gratitude to all who supported us on the sad loss of Noel.
Thank you to everyone who reached out to us to offer your condolences, whether it was in person or through phone calls, letters, whatsapp, texts, Mass card enrolments or online messages on RIP.ie, each and every message was sincerely appreciated.
A sincere thank you to all who provided for Noel’s medical needs with such care and compassion during his illness. We want to make a particular mention to the staff at St Vincents Hospital and at the Curragh Hospice for their support through such a difficult time. A special word of thanks to Eduardo and all at St Patricks Pharmacy, Maynooth, who always looked out for Noel's needs,
To our neighbours and friends who stood reverently outside our home, along the route to the church, in the church grounds and at the graveyard, we are deeply grateful and appreciative of your solidarity and support.
Thank you to Fr Frank McEvoy for his beautiful funeral Mass, his kind words and his prayers over the last 12 months which has provided great comfort to our family. Thanks to Mary Fleming in guiding us through the funeral and providing support when needed. Thank you to Maynooth GAA Club for providing a guard of honour on Noel's final journey to Laraghbryan Cemetary. Thanks to Paul and all the staff at Reilly Funeral Directors for their professional care and attention with Noel's funeral.
We will forever be indebted to our wonderful neighbours and friends who brought all the lovely food and home baking and were so thoughtful and generous with your time. We have been deeply moved by the huge outpouring of love in so many ways and we thank each and every one of you who reached out in any way to help us. Your kindness will never be forgotten. As it would be impossible to thank everyone individually we hope that you will accept this acknowledgement as a token of our sincere appreciation. Mass will be offered for the intentions of all.
Noel’s Anniversary Mass will be celebrated on Sunday the 18th July, at 11.30am in St Mary's Church, Maynooth. Due to Covid restrictions on church numbers, the Mass will be available to view via https://maynoothparish.org/live-streaming/
There comes a time for all of us when we must say goodbye,
but memories of those we love live on and never die.
