Michael (Mickey) Kelly

Ballyroe, Williamstown, Galway

Michael's (Mickie's) niece Patricia, nephew Michael, wife Jill, great niece and nephew Angela and Andrew, cousins and extended family, would like to express our sincere gratitude for the kind support shown to us on our sad loss of  Michael.

We wish to thank everyone who attended the funeral, either in person or on webcam. We express special thanks to the wonderful neighbours and friends for their invaluable help and ongoing support.

Special thanks to Mickie’s old friends and colleagues from years ago for sharing their wonderful memories of times gone by, but never forgotten.

We thank all who sent online condolences through and Mid-West radio and by email;  those who sent Mass and sympathy cards, letters, texts, and those who telephoned and called to the family home.

Our sincere appreciation and our thanks to all our relatives, neighbours and friends far and near who attended Mass, those who stood outside the church grounds and were present at the burial grounds in the awful weather, your presence and support was greatly appreciated.

Our thanks to Fr. Eugene O'Boyle for celebrating Mickie’s funeral Mass and to Breda Keaveney for their support & guidance, to Feeney's Funeral Undertakers for their professionalism.

Thank you to Eoin Kenny for his wonderful singing, thanks to the gravedigger for preparing Mickie's final resting place with great care and respect.

A special thank you to the Clinicians and care staff at Portiuncula Hospital who cared so well for Mickie during his recent illness before he passed away at the nursing home.

Thanks to the Management at St. Francis Nursing Home, Kilkerrin, and to all the care team there for the exceptional care and everything that you’ve all done to support Michael and keep him safe during the past 2 years. We are grateful particularly for your helpfulness in supporting families during the Covid pandemic, making special arrangements to still see Michael communicating through an open window until it was safe to visit with caution.

Many thanks to Leo and Eileen Finnegan for their support; for the excellent obituary written by Leo, published in the local press: Tuam and Roscommon Herald.

As it would be impossible to thank everyone individually, please accept this acknowledgement as a token of our sincere gratitude and appreciation.

The Holy Sacrifice of the Mass has been offered for your intentions.

May He Rest in Peace
