The sudden and unexpected death took place on September 15th of Tommie Spellman aged 71 years of Castlegar Village, originally from Carnmore.
Survived by his wife Maureen, children Carol, Brian, and Rory, and his six adoring grandchildren, as a family we would like to thank most sincerely all those who sympathised with us on our recent loss.
We have been greatly comforted by the messages of condolences, letters, sympathy cards, texts and the many acts of kindness.
To those who lined the bóithrín in the guard of honour, to those who attended the funeral Mass, and to those who watched online, given the health and safety restrictions, and could not mourn with us in person, please know that your show of support has been of enormous comfort to us.
Castlegar has shown its community spirit through and through these last weeks and we will never manage to thank each and every one of you enough. Buíochas ó chroí as a ndearna sibh chun tacú linn i mbás agus adhlacadh Thómais.
Our sincere thanks to the medical and Garda personnel for their assistance, to Fr. Blade for so sincerely celebrating his funeral and to Martin Hanley Funeral Services and Lackagh New Cemetery for their professionalism and compassion throughout.
As it is so difficult to thank everyone individually, we trust this notice will be accepted as a token of our sincere gratitude.
The Holy Sacrifice of the Mass will be offered for your intentions.
Beannachtaí Dé oraibh uilig.
