The family of the late Dermot J Seberry, from Monasterboice, who passed away peacefully on 22nd December would like to acknowledge the many expressions of sympathy and gestures shown to us on our great loss. We greatly appreciate the phone calls, messages, mass cards, letters, flowers and condolences on rip.ie. Our sincere thanks to Doctors and the staff of the 6th floor in our Lady of Lourdes Hospital for the wonderful care and kindness shown to Dermot during his time there.
Thank you to Fr Paddy Rushe for such a lovely mass, to Therese and the Fieldstown Choir with Jim Walsh, Eithne Nic An Rí and Ciaran O Muirí for the beautiful music. Also thanks to Madeline and Oonagh for such lovely flower arrangements. A heartfelt thanks to my children for such a personal and fitting tribute to Dermot. Many thanks also to Joanne and the Palliative Care team and to Dympna the cancer care nurse that looked after Dermot with such care at home.
We would also like to express out heartfelt thanks to all those who came out to show their respect along the route from Dermot’s home to the Church, we were overwhelmed. Thank you to neighbours and friends who supported us during his short illness, to those joining us in person or via the live streamed mass, to pay tribute to Dermot. Thank you to P. Townley and Sons Funeral Directors. Dermot will be deeply and sadly missed and will always be remembered.
As it is impossible to thank everybody individually, please accept this acknowledgement as an expression of our heartfelt appreciation. Dermot’s months mind mass will be held on Sunday, the 23rd of January, at 9.45 in Fieldstown Church.
