Jimmy’s wife Teresa, children Seán, Bríd, Mary, Margaret, Joe, Therese, Gemma, Sandra & James, his grandchildren & all his family wish to express our sincere thanks for the kindness, sympathy & support shown to us throughout our recent sad loss.
Thank you to everyone who visited the funeral home, attended Jimmy’s removal, funeral Mass & burial, sent Mass cards & floral tributes, those who shared kind messages & happy memories online, those who travelled long distances to be with us & those who could not be present but joined via webcam. Thank you also to those who donated generously to the Alzheimer Society of Ireland in Jimmy’s memory; www.alzheimer.ie
Special thanks to the doctors, nurses & staff of Bradshaw’s Lane Surgery for their care over the years, to the team from Bluebird Care who helped look after Jimmy for so long in the home he loved & to the kind & caring staff of Asgard Lodge Nursing Home who brought such comfort & dignity to Jimmy’s final months.
Thank you to Fr. Michael Murphy for celebrating such a beautiful funeral Mass & to Bridget Kenny & our dear friend Carol Whelan for such wonderful music.
A special word of thanks to Marian & Jim Kavanagh for their kindness in allowing Jimmy to take one last journey through Slieve-na-Vode.
Thanks also to the management & staff of the Woodenbridge Hotel for their hospitality after the funeral, to Jason Porter for tending to the grave & to all at John Sweeney & Sons Funeral Directors.
As it would be impossible to thank everyone individually, we trust that this acknowledgement will be accepted by all as a token of our sincere appreciation.
Jimmy’s Month’s Mind Mass will be celebrated on Sunday 22nd January at 11.30am in St.’s Mary & Patrick’s Church, Avoca. Those who cannot attend are welcome to join via webcam
