The family of the late Eddie Fennessy of Fossamore, Scariff, Co. Clare, who died on the 4th January, 2023, would like to thank most sincerely all those who sympathised with them on their recent loss.

We offer our heartfelt thanks to the many friends, neighbours and well wishers who visited our home, attended the wake, service and burial and who provided great support for us at this difficult time. To those who telephoned, travelled long distances, sent floral tributes, cards and messages of condolences, as well as those who made charitable donations, we are truly grateful.

A special word of thanks to Muireann and the staff of the Solas Unit in Milford Hospice for their care, kindness and respect always shown.  Sincere gratitude to the doctors and staff at Scariff Medical Centre, to Harry O’Meara pharmacy and staff, to all the public health nurses at Scariff Health Centre and to Eddie’s carers, past and present, for all their help over the last few years in helping Eddie throughout his daily life. Special thanks to Fr Joe McMahon, Micheal Pearl sacristan and the servers for Eddie’s funeral Mass and to Johnny O’Brien, Michael Grogan, Joan Giblin and the choir for the beautiful music and singing in the church. Thanks to Jim Collins and Scariff GAA for the special tribute to Eddie and for the guard of honour.  Many thanks to John Long Funeral Directors for taking care of Eddie’s Removal, Funeral and Burial and to Brendan Walsh, Eoin O'Neill and all the grave diggers for preparing Eddie’s final resting place. Thanks to McNamara’s Bar and restaurant for the lovely food provided.

To all those who helped in any way, your contribution made our loss more bearable. As it would be impossible to thank everyone individually, please accept this acknowledgement as an expression of our deepest gratitude. The Holy Sacrifice will be offered for your intentions.

Eddie’s Month's Mind Mass will be held at the Sacred Heart Church, Scariff, on Saturday, 4th February, at 8.00pm.
