The family of the late Michael McKenna of Cill Chais, Shannon and Broadford, Co. Clare wish to convey our most sincere thanks to all those who sympathised with us in our recent bereavement. We are deeply grateful for the many friends and relatives, neighbours, work colleagues and well wishers who expressed their heartfelt kindness, love and support to us during this difficult time.
Our most sincere gratitude also to Carrigoran House and Wellness Centre for the kindness and love that they offered Dad during his time in your care.
Thank you all for the many Mass and sympathy cards, condolence notes, house visits, phone calls, text messages, gifts and floral tributes.
Special thanks to those who provided food and refreshments to our home and to those attending the funeral mass and burial, and helped in any way with all the funeral arrangements and ceremonies. Special thank you to Broadford GAA and community for welcoming Michael back home.
We deeply appreciate all those who travelled to attend Michael’s removal and funeral Mass in Shannon and burial in Broadford and to those who watched online, providing such needed support to us all, thank you.
Thank you to McMahon’s funeral directors for their sensitivity and professionalism over the course of the week.
Finally, we wish to thank Fr. David Carroll, Fr. Arnold Rosney, Canon Brendan O’Donoghue, Fr. James Michael. It is very difficult to quantify our gratitude but we trust this acknowledgement will be accepted by all as a token of our appreciation.
A months mind mass will be celebrated for Michael in Mary Immaculate Church, Shannon at 12 Noon on Saturday February 4th 2023.
