(née Hayes)

Prospect Grove, Dunmanway, Cork

Acknowledgement and First Anniversary

Evelyn’s husband Harry and her family wish to acknowledge the many expressions of sympathy and gestures of kindness shown to us during our sad loss.

We wish to offer our heartfelt thanks to the friends, relatives and neighbours who visited Evelyn in her home, the Bons Secours Hospital and Marymount Hospice during her illness. We sincerely thank the many friends, neighbours and well-wishers who visited our home, attended the service and burial and who provided emotional and practical support for us at this difficult time. For those who telephoned, travelled long distances, sent floral tributes, cards and messages of condolence, as well as those who made donations to Marymount Hospice, we are truly grateful.

A special word of thanks to the doctors, nurses and staff of Marymount Hospice, Bantry Hospice Palliative Care team and the Bons Secours Hospital for their expertise and their constant kindness and care to Evelyn; to the doctors and carers in the Primary Care centre in Dunmanway and especially to Dr. Scully who went out of her way to give medical care to Evelyn in her final weeks at home; to Rev. Cliff Jeffers for his care and support and for organising the funeral services; and finally to O’ Neill’s Funeral Directors for their sensitive handling of arrangements.

To those who helped in any way, your contribution made our loss more bearable. As it would be impossible to thank everyone individually, please accept this acknowledgement as an expression of our deepest gratitude.
