 Michael Kiernan

Drogheda, Louth

As we lovingly remember Michael, son Andrew and daughters Susan and Jennifer, sincerely thank all of those who provided comfort, support and sympathy to us on our sad loss.

We offer our heartfelt thanks to extended family members, friends, neighbours and well-wishers who visited our home, attended the funeral and burial and who provided emotional and practical support for us at this difficult time. For those who sent floral tributes, cards and messages of condolences, as well as those who made charitable donations, we are truly grateful.

Sincere thanks to Fr. Philip Gaffney for his compassion and guidance over the last few weeks as well as his kind reflective homily.

Thanks to Amie Dyer and David Leddy for the beautiful singing and musical send-off they gave to Michael.  A special word of thanks to John Weir, the teachers & staff, pupils and parents of S.M.P.P.S. who provided Michael with a poignant guard of honour.

We thank all of the doctors, nurses and staff at our lady of Lourdes Hospital in particular, Dr. O’Gorman and her team at the Palliative Care Unit who provided great care and support.

Finally, to Aidan, Paula and all the staff at Townley Funeral Directors we offer our deepest gratitude. Your knowledge and professionalism combined with your empathy and understanding of our feelings was greatly appreciated by all of our family.

It would be impossible to thank everyone individually and as such, please accept this acknowledgement as a token of our appreciation. The Holy Sacrifice of the mass will be offered for your intentions.

Michael’s months mind mass will be at 11am on Sunday 12th July in Holy Family Church in Ballsgrove.
