Dear Shane - miss you greatly and so sad for your passing. You left the world a substantially better place for your being here. God Bless you and your family at this time of grief and long may you smile down upon us.

I heard the sad news and it was such a shock and hard to believe. Shane was so vibrant, so full of beans and such a kind, generous, humorous, clever person. Some years ago, I was made redundant. I made a post on facebook, Shane contacted me and offered to help me find work and to put me in touch with people he knew. AND I knew he was sincere. That's the kind of person he was. My sincere condolences to his lovely wife, children, sister, brothers and his dear mother. This must be so difficult.

To the Fitzsimons Family, we are so sorry at the untimely death of Shane.

Hilary had many conversations with Shane over the years. He was a proud member of Kinsale Golf Club and was always keen to know how the club was progressing. He was a keen golfer and enjoyed all the sport had to offer. Shane visited the club in August every year while on vacation and sponsored the annual father and son competition. He will be sadly missed.

Dear Deirdre, Keelin, Eoin, Conor and Ciaran as well as Mrs. Fitzsimons and all the family.

We are both filled with sadness to learn of the loss of Shane - taken much too early.

We all worked for GE together in Bergen op Zoom and then in the US during the late '90s and early 2000's. We were a small group of Irish and kept an eye out for one another. We were so proud of what Shane achieved and as many have said, that he always stayed true to who he was.
