Bernard Jude (Barney) Murphy
Bernard Jude (Barney) Murphy of Hill Cottages, Killiney, Co. Dublin formerly Bray, Co. Wicklow and Battalion Sergeant Major of the 21st Battalion. March 9th 2025 at his home surrounded by his loved ones. Remembered with love by his devoted family, Mary (née Kelly), children William, Mark, Janet and Niall, daughters-in-law Bettina, Síobhan and Patricia, son-in-law John O’Beirne, his adored grandchildren Evan, Killian, Liam, Saoirse, Senan, Kitty, Maisy, Elsie, Tess and Niadh, extended family, neighbours and wide circle of friends.
Barney’s family would like to express their gratitude and appreciation to all the wonderful Doctors, nurses and staff at St. Michael’s Hospital, Dun Laoghaire for the exceptional care shown to Barney over the years.
Funeral Mass at 11.30am on Friday morning (March 14th) in Sts. Alphonsus and Columba Church, Ballybrack Village (which can be viewed live on the following link) https://churchmedia.tv/camera/sts-alphonsus-and-columba-ballybrack-killiney-parish, after which Barney will be laid to rest in Deans Grange Cemetery.
