Bernie Buckley

Buckley, (Woodleigh Park, Model Farm Rd) “Bernie” (John RB) passed away peacefully in the wonderful care of the staff at Cork University Hospital on Monday April 17th 2023. Beloved husband of Margaret, father of John, Kevin and the late Richard, and brother of Carmel, Pat and the late Mary Williamson & Frances Kelly. Sadly missed by his loving wife and family, daughters-in-law Derbhile, Missy, Michele and Michele’s husband Jon Allred, grandchildren Tadhg, Maire, Tomas, Michael, Joseph & Marc, Catherine, Claire & Connor. He will also be missed by the NeoCatechumal community of the Sacred Heart Parish, extended family, friends and neighbours.

Rest in peace

Lying in repose at Crowley’s Funeral Home, Ballincollig on Thursday (20th April) from 5.30pm to 6.30pm for visitation. Requiem Mass on Friday (21st) at 1.30pm at the Sacred Heart Church, Western Rd  which can be viewed here.  Funeral afterwards to St Michael’s Cemetery, Blackrock.

Bernie’s family would like to thank the following for the excellent care given to him - the Doctors, Nurses and Staff at Cork University Hospital, Community Care Ballincollig (especially York for his daily care), and Marymount community nurse Jill.
