Bridget (Bridie) Scanlan (née Sheedy)

Thomastown, Kilmallock and late of Mannixville, Charleville.

Bridie passed away peacefully in the presence of her loving family in Cork University Hospital (CUH) on Friday, September 6th, 2024. Beloved wife of the late Jimmy and much loved mother of James, Patrick, Terence, Tony, Michael, Lisa and the late Maria. Dear sister of Mikey, Philomena (Morrissey), the late Nora (Keane) and Teddy.

Deeply regretted by her loving family, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, daughters-in-law, brothers-in-law, sister-in-law, nieces, nephews, relatives, neighbours, friends and her dear friend Mary Kate Keane.

May Bridie Rest in Peace

Reposing in Hawe - O'Keeffe's Funeral Home (P56 YY15), Bakers Road, Charleville, on Saturday evening evening from 5:30pm to 7:00pm, followed by Prayers and Reception into Holy Cross Church, Charleville.

Requiem Mass on Sunday at 12 noon, after which Bridie will be laid to rest in Effin new Cemetery.

The family would very much like to thank the doctors, nurses and staff of Mallow General Hospital and Cork University Hospital (CUH) for the excellent care and kindness shown to Bridie.
