Bridget Wims
(née Scanlon)

The death has occurred of Bridget Wims (née Scanlon), Rathdooney, Ballymote, Co. Sligo, in the loving care of her family and the staff of Ballymote Community Nursing Unit. Predeceased by her husband Thomas, brother Joe and sister Eileen. Sadly missed by her son Gerard, daughters Carmel and Marie, sister Teresa Collis (Fatima Avenue, Sligo), sister-in-law Áine Wims, grandchildren Molly and Josie, daughter-in-law, son-in-law, nieces, nephews, relatives, neighbours and friends.

Reposing at her residence on Wednesday from 6pm to 8pm. Funeral cortège will be leaving Bridget’s residence at 11.30am on Thursday to arrive for Requiem Mass at 12pm in the Church of the Immaculate Conception, Ballymote. Burial afterwards in St. Columba’s Cemetery. Bridget's Mass will be livestreamed at: Ballymote Parish Facebook page. 

House private on Thursday morning.

Due to government advice and guidelines regarding public gatherings, attendance at Bridget’s residence will be limited to family and close friends. Face coverings must be worn, please. 

Those who wish to attend but are unable to do so due to the restrictions are invited to leave a message of condolence for the family below.
