Bridie Porter
née Bermingham,
Ashlawn, Loughrea
and formerly Clostoken, Loughrea, Co. Galway.
Who passed away peacefully, in the presence of her loving family and in the wonderful care of the staff of Án Crannóg Unit, St. Brendan’s Community Nursing Home, Loughrea on the morning of Monday 25th November 2024.
Predeceased by her brothers John and Tom, sisters Carmel, Margaret and baby Elizabeth, her nieces Jaqueline and Eleanor.
Bridie will be forever missed by her loving husband and best friend Vincent.
Bridie will be sadly missed by her sons Kevin and Stephen, their partners Karen and Caroline, sisters Mary (Bray), Ann (England), brothers Paddy (Dundalk), Jimmy (Caherhenryhoe), Martin (Castleknock), Kevin (Ennis), brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, nieces, nephews, extended family, neighbours and her many friends.
Bridie will lie in repose in Kilboy’s Funeral Home, Loughrea (H62 KF63), on Wednesday 27th November from 5pm to 7pm, followed by removal to the Church of the Holy Family, Clostoken.
Requiem Mass for Bridie in the Church of the Holy Family, Clostoken (H62 NP26) on Thursday 28th November at 11am, followed by burial in the adjoining Cemetery.
Family flowers only. Donations, if desired, to Galway Hospice.
Bridie’s family would like to express their sincere thanks to all their extended family, neighbours & friends for all their kindness and help, at this very sad time.
May Bridie’s kind and gentle soul rest in peace.
