The death has occurred of
Carmel Barrett
(née Mannion)
Formerly of Knockferry, Roscahill, Galway.
Cherished wife of the late Tony who died in 2021 and much-loved mother of Niall, Yvonne and Linda. Carmel died at University Hospital, Galway on Monday, 13 February, 2023 and she is mourned by her children and grandchildren Jessica and Rory, Ciarán and Éabha, Charlie and Abbie, daughter-in-law Ann, sons-in-law Colin and Ian, sister Phil (U.K.), her extended family whom she loved dearly, past neighbours and friends.
Reposing at the O' ’Flaherty Funeral Parlour, Munster Avenue, Galway (H91V1K8) on Thursday, 16 February, from 4.00 p.m. with Removal at 5.30 p.m. to arrive at St. Ignatius Jesuit Church, Sea Road at 6 p.m. (H91Y544). Requiem Mass will be celebrated for Carmel on Friday, 17 February, at 12 noon and following Mass she will be laid to rest side by side with Tony in the new cemetery, Bohermore.
