(née Markey)
Carmel Giles (nee Markey), Avondale, Trim, Co. Meath, 6th February 2025. Peacefully at Our Lady of Lourdes Hospital, Drogheda, in her 96th year. Predeceased by her husband Billy and brother Tom.
A cherished mother, grandmother and great grandmother. Carmel will be very sadly missed by her daughters, Geraldine, Marion, Siobhan, Deirdre and Edel, extended family, neighbours, friends and carers.

Reposing at Heffernans Funeral Home, High Street, Trim, C15 HDT1, on Friday from 5pm to 7pm. Removal on Saturday morning, departing her residence at 10.15am to St. Patrick’s Church, Trim, for Funeral Mass at 11am, which can be viewed on https://mcn.live/Camera/st-patricks-parish-trim. Burial in St. Loman’s Cemetery.
House Private please.
The family would like to thank the First Responders, Trim, and in particular the doctors, nurses, carers and staff at Our Lady of Lourdes Hospital, Drogheda, who cared for Carmel with great dignity and compassion.
