The death has occurred of
Carmel (Kathleen) Slattery
Carmel (Kathleen) Slattery of Kinsale, formerly New York and originally Abbeydorney, Co. Kerry, died peacefully, in the wonderful care of her niece Yvonne and the staff at Haven Bay Care Centre, Kinsale on 24th November 2024, beloved daughter of the late Pat & Delia and dear sister of Celine (Tralee), Bernadette (Nashville) and the late Tom, Mary, Joe, Noreen, Anna, Ned & Nuala.
Sadly missed by her loving family, her many devoted nieces, nephews, grand nieces, grand nephews, relatives and great friends, especially in New York.
Reposing at the Gleasure Funeral Home, Tralee on Wednesday (27th November) from 6 to 7.30 pm. Funeral arriving to St. Bernard’s Church, Abbeydorney on Thursday morning at 10.45 am where the Requiem Mass for Carmel will be celebrated at 11 am (streamed on www.churchmedia.tv/st-bernards-church-abbeydorney). Interment afterwards in Kyrie Eleison Abbey, Abbeydorney.
Donations in lieu of flowers, if desired, to Down Syndrome Cork (downsyndrome.ie), or care of the Gleasure Funeral Home, Tralee.
