Catherine (Kay) O'Connell
(née Hourihan)
O’CONNELL (Cork) On 2nd January 2023, peacefully, in the presence of her loving family and in the tender care of the staff of the Mercy University Hospital, CATHERINE (KAY, nee Hourihan), Knockpogue Park, Farranree and late of Ardmore Avenue, Knocknaheeny. Dearly beloved wife of the late Eddie and much loved mother of Finbarr and Brian, devoted nana of Roisín, Clíona, Caoimhe, and Gráinne. Sadly missed by her heartbroken family, sisters Sheila and Eileen, brother-in-law Michael, daughters-in-law Gillian and Eva, nephews, nieces, relatives, neighbours and friends.
Reposing at Coughlan’s Funeral Home, Shandon Street on Friday (6th January) at 10.00am, family in attendance from 4.00pm with Rosary at 5.00pm. Requiem Mass on Saturday (7th January) at 10.00am in St. Mary’s on the Hill Church, Knocknaheeny. Funeral afterwards to St. Catherine’s Cemetery, Kilcully. Family flowers only. Donations, if desired, to the Mercy University Hospital Foundation.
