I am so sorry to hear of the passing of Adam. I was privileged to coach an Under 8 Park Celtic FC team in 2010 which included both Adam and Seamus in the squad. Due to his health issues, Adam's playing time was quite limited. However he attended all the training sessions and matches that he could and was an inspiration to his fellow squad members and management.

How he enjoyed his involvement! All were moody sometimes but never Adam. He was a constant beacon of happiness and good cheer. It was humbling for us to meet somebody with such a bright outlook on life in the face of the health challenges and adversity he endured. And what joy it gave him when he scored a goal!

On behalf of Park Celtic FC and myself I extend my deepest sympathy to Gemma, Seamus, the extended family and his friends. Rest easy Adam.
— Frank O'Neill

Gemma, Seamus, McGovern and Dargan Families. It was with great shock that we heard of Adam's sad passing. We can only imagine the grief that you are experiencing at this very sad and difficult time. You are in our thoughts and prayers. Rest In Peace Adam.
— Linda & Pat Power
I had Adam's 6th class in 2014 for my final teaching practise. I still regularly speak to colleagues and new teachers about that class and how they had such a positive impact on me, the nicest group of children a student teacher could have. I remember Adam so fondly. We spoke about our shared experiences of heart surgeries, he made such an impression that after nearly 10 years of teaching, I never forgot about Adam and he would cross my mind from time to time. I'm so sad to hear of his passing, reading the condolences I see he was a very popular, much loved and inspirational young man. I remember Adam being full of personality in 6th class and I'm so glad to read that that never changed. My thoughts are with Gemma and Seamus during this very difficult time.

May Adam Rest in Peace.
— Aisling
Dear Gemma & Seamus our thoughts are with you both at this heartbreaking time. Adam was an exceptional and beautiful soul. Please accept our sincere sympathies x
