As someone who spanned my parent's, mine and my children's generation, to say I knew you from the shop doesn't do you or your legacy justice. Your shop was the place where my mother went to clothe us for school, with little money you were always generous, there was always a bargain. A kindness I'm sure that was shown to many families. Later for me it was the shop for the cardigan for my mother, the coat perhaps for my father or brother. You would send home maybe two/three to try on, your faith in human nature always that they would be returned and paid for. For my children the shop was a source of wonder, always a greeting and enquiry about Croghan NS and topped off with tea in a china cup at Christmas.
To Mrs Kelleher, Gary,Justin, Maeve, Ciara and extended family, I am sorry for your great loss, with his kindness and genuine interest in people he represented everything that was good in human nature.
