I was really sorry to hear about the passing of Mr Meagher.

I grew up next door to him and as a child he was always really good to me. He'd always bought books for me and encouraged me to keep reading.

As an adult he always asked about my work after college and was always so encouraging and friendly.


He was a really good role model to grow up around and I'll remember him fondly for the rest of my life.

A genuinely warm and intelligent soul.


My condolences are with the whole family, I was sorry I couldn't attend the funeral.
