I worked with Aidan from.1983-91 in Wang, Limerick. We shared a (white) house in Castletroy. Aidan was a thoughtful good friend and a thorough gentleman. I enjoyed his cooking on a number of occasions at weekends. Aidan was great company and I went on my first holiday to Greece with him et al in 1984 !

We were fortunate to meet Aidan & Cathriona in April last year when they stayed in Castletown Estate, Celbridge.

To Cathriona, Ciara, Fiona, Thomas, Mrs Power and the extended Power and O'Callaghan families: Heaven got brighter last Saturday when the sunbeam that is Aidan's smile landed in there. Sadly, for us mortals, the light on earth dimmed. But that smile will remain forever with all of us lucky to have known Aidan. He was kind, measured, intelligent, humorous, sincere, modest, lovely. A gentleman and a gentle man, he will always be with us. God speed, my old buddie.

Cathriona, Ciara, Fiona, Thomas, Denis, Mary, Ana, Pauline and all your families - the last few days we hope have shown you how loved and admired your Aidan is. We do not need to say anything more as it has all been said in the condolences here and the vast numbers of friends and family who wanted to share their stories with you and with each other. We could feel the huge love for him and for you all as a family inside and outside of Windfield Gardens and today at his service. You did him so proud with your words for him and about him. His absolute goodness radiates within each of you. He has left such a legacy in you, so keep dancing, laughing, swimming and fishing together in his memory until you meet again. 💕

A Cathríona a chara.
Tá brón orm cloisint faoi bhás Aidan. Ní raibh aithne agam air ach tuigim ó na teachtairí gur duine cáirdiúil spraoíúil a bhí ann. Bhíomar as baile is ní raibh a fhios agam go dtí go raibh an t-Aifreann tosnaithe. The messages from Ciara, Fiona & Thomas were emotional.
Cork v Limerick won't be the same this year.
Mary & I send our sincere condolences to you, your family, his mother and all relations.
