Leonora and Aoife, I was so sorry not to be able to attend Alec's funeral but watching it on the Church webcam, it was a beautiful tribute to him and he would have been very proud of both of you. He fought his illness with bravery and fortitude and now, at last, he is at peace. Ar dheis De go raibh a anam dilis.

Some years ago business brought me in contact with Alec Tarbett.A friendship soon developed. He was kind,, considerate and a gentleman to his fingertips. It is some time since I last saw him due to retirement and the limitations of old age, but I shall never forget him.
