Condolences to the McDonnell family on the passing of your Dad Alex. Alex you will be missed by so many of his friends in Bettystown. Many a good night was had in McDonoughs and also The Coast. Your sense of humour was class. Statler and Waldorf springs to mind ! Your at peace now, and no doubt are rocking up there with your many friends who passed before you. Rest easy pal you will always be remembered.

No words can really come anywhere close to how you must feel.

Our paths crossed back in the early eighties in Tallaght
We were such young adults then with such young families
I have to smile, when I look back, all those years ago now.

We shared a little bit of biking history. Alex used to love to borrow my BMW R65 for a couple of hours at the weekends. He would come back beaming after jaunting about on it.

Despite the passing of many years and the lack of any connection, we happened upon each other several years ago in town. We clicked as if we had only seen each other the previous day. This is a mark of friendship. Thank you Alex for being my friend.
