It’s taken too long to write this. I can’t believe you are gone. We’ll have memories people would envy for a lifetime my friend. The world can never take away the craic we had, following the Irish team around at 2012, the inside jokes nobody else would get. The contant messing and nonsense we’d send each other. I’ll never forget it and I’ll probably send you nonsense messages for years to come forgetting you won’t be there to send back an “ah Eamonn, you can’t say that” or an “alright pet!”. I’ll miss you immensely my friend. To Terra Viarca!!!

I would like to offer my sincere condolences to Jacinta, Ingrid, Christian and Alex’s family and friends. I got to know Alex in College and was with him on the J1 in Boston. We had such a great laugh as a group and Alex would add so much humour to the occasion! Whenever I would meet him in the years after we would always reconnect and relive the banter. I've so many fond memories from school, college, travelling, nights out and many more occasions. He brought so much humour anytime you met him and he was such a pleasure to be around. I don't think I've ever walked away from a catchup with Alex and not laughed at least once. There was always a joke or a funny story. It has been my privilege to have been his friend for most of my life. He was an absolute gentleman who had time for everyone he met. He will be forever missed by all who knew him.
