Alfie was a true gentleman he played a very important part in the wining of the Senior Football All-Ireland of 1957, He was major player with his Club. In 1957 I was at boarding school in Mallow listening to the radio I was the only one from Louth . I remember most of the game but particularly when the goal was scored to win the game. I was Louth GAA County Secretary up to the convention in December 2019 and I am still on the management committee.
