We extend our deepest sympathy to the family of the late Albert Sexton.
The word gentleman is often used in a pejorative context. However, when it comes to the genial Albert, it can be truly said he was the real article, an authentic gentleman. His likes don't come too often.

Sincere sympathy to Hilary and extended family on Alfie's passing. What memories!! It must have been the late 50's that Alfie scaled the heights of the Cliffs of Dooneen for the first time, saw the Promised Land in the form of the lush pastures of Offaly, said to himself, I like this and stuffing a copy of P.G Woodhouse under his elbow, adjusted his compass to the N.E. and set forth to make his fortune and while he was at it proclaimed I'll will make these Hindus toe the line for their own good. Sadly the Hindus were too complacent in their outlook and the Promised Land was wasted on them.
However, it was his brushing aside of popular convention and expounding a healthy scepticism that endeared him to more than he ever thought possible. Eternal rest to his gentle soul.
— John Duffy
