Dear Micheál, Niall and all the family
We are so unbelievably sad to hear of the untimely death of your dear Alice - a dedicated and motivated mother to four beautiful children - her eyes lit up speaking about you all (and about her exploits playing golf). You all did her so proud.
I remember sharing in a school run to collect Rob and Niall over a few years while in St Anthony's. I got off work early on a Tuesday and Wednesday (I knew I was on a winner when I secured the Tuesday so she could head off to play golf). Alice did Monday, Thursday and Friday - the lions share - for which I will never forget her. When the lads went their separate ways to Pres & Christians, we didn't see as much of each other but whenever we did bump into each other, we were straight back to the laughter of those easy days.
I heard from a friend of this terrible news - ironically having spoken about her this very day when I used a gift she had given me when we moved house.
My heart goes out to you all losing such a beautiful person - she could chat for Ireland - and I loved her for this.
May the love you shared help you through your heartache.
