So so sorry to hear about her death. She went above and beyond to help people. She really stood out as being a lovely friendly person and I was very sorry to hear this. Condolences to her Family and friends and all staff at Shaws an awful shock for you all.

So shocked to hear of Alwyn's death. I looked forward to seeing her when I went into Shaws and we had many conversations about wool, knitting patterns and latterly bedding. She was such a lovely lady. My sincere sympathies to her family and colleagues in Shaws.

Deepest condolences to Alwyns mother and family , I worked with Alwyn for a few years in shaws ,she was a kind caring wonderful woman who taught me quite alot while working along side her. She will be sadly missed by so many.

So shocked to hear of Alwyns passing. She was an earth Angel. Always stopped for a chat and would always ask how my son was. He is now 27 with 2 children but we went into Alwyn in Shaw since he was a baby. It wasn't long before Christmas I was in with her showing her the boy's photos and told her I'd bring them down in the new year to see her. I am truly heartbroken 💔 Thinking of Alwyn's Mam and brothers at this very sad time. She was one in a million. The kindest person you could meet. Fly high with the Angel's my dear friend ❤️❤️

We started in Shaws the same time and worked together for many years both in the Gents and Wool departments and l have many happy memories .

I was in Shaws a month or so before Christmas getting a particular item as a present for my son. I was dealing with Alwyn who was amazing. She went above and beyond to help me out. She really stood out as being a lovely woman and I was very sorry to hear of her passing.
