Having been laid to rest in William Brown’s birthplace is a precious occurrence for one so sensitively patriotic as Laura. My deepest condolences to the family of Ambassador Bernal and to her colleagues in the Embassy on their very sad loss. As Hon Secretary of Tipperary Peace Convention I had the please to meet the Ambassador on a couple of occasions and on her visits to Tipperary for the Tipperary Peace Award ceremonies. I was really shocked to hear of her sudden passing and wanted to extend my deepest condolences. I watched her Mass on Mayo.ie and found it to be a wonderful tribute as well as a hugely emotional one. May God welcome Laura into her kingdom and may she rest in eternal peace.
