Andrew, I was lucky enough to meet you in Jackie Murphy's bar in Dundalk about 15 years ago when i worked there and you performed. You were without doubt the finest musician to have ever played there and i'll never forgot your 10 minute version of "With or Without You" On New Year's Eve and to this day every time i hear the song i think of your version. I'm so glad we've kept in touch over the years and it's been an honor to know you. I am heartbroken. Deepest condolences to your children and family. Rest in peace x

Mr & Mrs Mahony and all the Mahony family, I am truly sorry for your loss. There are very few memories of my teenage years and 20’s, Andrew isn’t in, he brought so much happiness, love and a lot of laughter wherever we were. I will hold on to the memory of his beautiful smile and infectious laugh. Andrew will be forever missed but never forgotten. May God give him eternal rest and the family the strength to bear the great pain. My thoughts and prayers are with you all.

I am so sorry for your loss. I can't believe it. I met Andrew WAY back in Marino College 25 years ago. I saw him sporadically over the years. He was a kind lovely fella. I always remember a young girl who was in the school giving him a card for Valentines and he came to me on how to handle it as she was in 3rd year and he was doing the course in Marino at the time. He was kind that way and I remember he didn't want to hurt her feelings. I am REALLY sorry to hear what has happened. He was a caring soul. And will be missed by many. Very sorry for your loss.
