To Rose, Mary, Sally, Willie and the Connolly family, I want to express my sincere sympathy on the passing of Andy. Since meeting Andy almost 30 years ago at ESB Poolbeg, he became a mentor and a lifelong friend. He was a highly intelligent man who could hold a conversation on a wide range of topics. His keen interest in sport, music and politics made him compelling company. He never forgot the roots of his native Tipperary and his beloved Holycross. Andy was a true Irish man who loved all things Irish. Most of all, I will miss his infectious sense of humour, as he always saw the lighter side of every situation. We had some great times. Farewell Andy and thanks for the memories. Rest in Peace.

Rose, so shocked to hear of Andy's death. I met Andy in the Seventies and always found him to be sincere, very genuine and honest. He was true Gael and will be sadly missed . We always look forward to meeting both of you at the All Ireland Fleadhanna but alas we have not met recently due to his illness.. I have had the pleasure of knowing Andy for 30 years he always had the time to chat, to look out for others and lived for his Parish and community Bluebell. It was wonderful for Andy and his many community leaders who fought and fund raised for the beautiful new Bluebell Community Centre that he saw his dream become a reality so now Andy enjoy your rest in paradise. Andy will be sorely missed in Bluebell and beyond. A gentle giant of a man, he and Rose played a huge role in developing the strong Community which exists in Bluebell. He inspired so many people to volunteer and give back to the community, as service to the people of Bluebell was core to everything Andy did. Never one to seek the limelight he always there with the wise word.
