We go back a long way from our childhood days when we dressed 3d dolls as we sat against the Ballybricken Presbytery wall. The saga continued through our teens when Betty introduced me to the pleasure of light opera. Our friendship continued to the end. May she rest in peace!

Ted, Noreen, Deirdre and Ann, I am so sorry to hear of Auntie Betty's passing. I have the most wonderful memories of her generosity of spirit and innate kindness when we were children. She was a wonderful cook and such a talented dressmaker. She made my communion dress and I can still remember how special she made me feel when we went to your house to collect it. I still get nostalgic when I recall the splendid Sunday teas she produced with seemingly effortless calm for a huge gang of us. We will all mourn the loss one of life's true ladies.
