I first met Anne over 40 years ago when I worked during my student days in the bar at the now legendary Doonalawn Hotel on the Bray seafront.
Anne and Perch were always warm, friendly and lovely to be with.
I was honoured when requested by Anne to teach her young son, John, mathematics in the family home on a weekly basis over the course of a full school year. John made rapid progress, which pleased his proud Mom no end.
I last saw Anne in the doctor’s waiting room not that long ago.
She was as cheerful, friendly and chatty as ever.
I consider myself blessed to have known her.
May she rest in eternal peace.
