My sincere sympathy to all the Quigley family on the sad passing of Annaleen. I had the privilege
of being taught by Annaleen many years ago in Scoil Eoin Báiste in Fatima, and then, many years later as a student teacher, doing my Teaching Practice with her in very same classroom. She was a true educator - committed to respecting, supporting and inspiring every child she taught. May she rest in peace. Ar dheis Dé go raibh a h-anam dílis.

Very sad to learn of Anne’s passing. We first met in The Gambia , West Africa, with GIVE (Gambia Ireland Volunteers in Education), in 2011 and she returned for another 2 years. She taught with me for a period of time at St. Peter’s Primary School, Lamin..During that time she was very committed, hard-working and dedicated, especially in her advice, help and encouragement to the young Gambian teachers. She never forgot the poor of Africa and continued to be very supportive of our on-going projects. On behalf of the school community at St. Peter’s Lamin,, to whom she was a good friend,I extend our sincerest condolences. Ar dheis Lamh De go raibh si.

Anne travelled with Gambia Ireland Volunteers in Education, (G.I.V.E.) bringing her love of teaching, her energy and her personal commitment to supporting fellow teachers in that country. Her work there during several separate visits was very much appreciated, both by her fellow Irish volunteers and by the teachers and students she supported. We send our deepest condolences to Anne's family. May she rest in peace.

I have just heard of the passing of Dear Anne. May she rest in peace after her long suffering, endured so courageously. I met Anne here in the Gambia when she taught at our Skills Centre and have remained in contact since then. Anne was a special person who thought not of herself but of others. Anne came to meet me in Dublin when I was home over three years ago.- with her usual joy in spite of her suffering. May she enjoy God's loving presence now. She deserves it. My prayers are with all the family. She spoke of you all with love.

Anne was my colleague while we taught and tutored in Charles Lwanga School in Fagikunda.
