— Noel Kavanagh (Paralympic soccer team)
I wish to express my sympathy to the Ebbs family and thank them for allowing us to have the pleasure of the best of her. As Paralympic athletes we became used to this energy and vivaciousness and how she could go from an event to a meeting having read through other peoples perspectives she was a force of nature to be reckoned with. But seriously she was running a sports body where most of her interactions took place with men and in Ireland where equality was low on the list but she didn't give up and was prepared to defy convention if needs be. When I started I was impressed by her warmth and stewardship of sport in an environment that was macho to say the least Anne showed other qualities and in a country whose icon where male she brought other hero's tot he fore like Bride Lynch, Catherine Walsh and Mairead Berry. She was a trailblazer not only for people who had disabilities but for women in a country where female heroes where few and far between at the time and as Jacinda Ardern said: "We can only go on who have gone behind us". Thank you Anne for your service to sport and to women in Ireland.
— David Gomm
Our heartfelt condolences to Donal and the extended Sinnott family on Anne’s recent demise. May her gentle soul rest in everlasting peace.
— Brendan & Regina Doyle, Pacific Grove, California
Firstly I wish to pm ass on my condolences and deepest sympathies to Anne's family. How do I sum Anne up a tremendous force of vitality and nature who had the act of being able to make time and space for anyone competing at the Para's with a skill of networking and bringing people together at a time when women did not lead sporting bodies. Anne was an original at a time when men ran everything in Ireland she stood out from the crowd and from my interactions she could make things happen like Mo Mowlam and impossible didn't exist and brought people with disabiliites into the mainstream and break the glass ceiling much as in the same way Susan Denham or Catherine McGuinness in law, Marian Finnucanne or Veronica Guerin in the media the Cusack sisters in acting or Cliodhna O'Farrelly in science or Sineaid O'Connor, Mary Black or Andrea Corr and gave women like Mairead Berry, and Bridie Lynch the chance in sport. It is time to celebrate her achievement and I'll turn to my political heroine Jacinda Ardern PM of New Zealand on Victoria Derbyshire: "It is without those who have gone before us we owe our success". When the Paralympics team does so well I can thank Anne for her service.
— David Gomm

It was an honour to work with my good friend Anne for many years in the IWA Driving School and Sports Section. Anne never ceased to amaze me with her straight talking and determination to improve services for people with a disability. The planning and organising of sports trips - her organisational skills were second to none. The number of times I drove the IWA Bus out of Clontarf loaded with hopeful competitors heading out to compete at National, International and Paralympic games. As good as Anne organisational skills were - we did miss a few turns on the way but always managed to arrive at the games on time (no Sat-Nav back then). The desire to enable members lead independent lives, in the 70’s this would mean heading to London to bring back hand-controls ensuring there was a ready supply available to adapt cars for members.
Thanks Anne for all the lives you have touched, you were one in a million.
— Micheal, Bernie & All the Saunders Family
Deepest sympathy to Donal and extended families on the death of Anne..may she rest in eternal peace.

RIP ANNE one of my dearest and closest friends from my childhood days spent in Donore with my grandparents. I have always felt privileged to have known you and that I can actually even boast having played table tennis with you - back in the day.
You never let your physical challenges dampen your spirit or deter you from doing all the things you wanted to - and look what you have achieved. I learned a lot from you DEAR FRIEND and for that I will be forever grateful.
Our paths did not cross many times since those childhood days as I have lived in Australia since 1972. However it was marvellous to catch up with you whenever I was back in Donore on holiday.
Rest In Peace Beautiful Lady. I will always remember and miss you.
Deepest condolences to Donal and Mary and your families and all of Anne’s relatives and friends.

Deepest condolences on Anne's death to Anne's family and friends on behalf of the Chairman, Board, management and staff, past and present, of the Irish Wheelchair Association. Anne was an IWA Member and former staff member who joined the IWA in the 70s and worked as a fundraising administrator, in the driving school and in the sports department, where she ultimately became the IWA's first Director of Sport.

As well as all her well known work in relation to the Paralympic Games, Anne coordinated the start up of many IWA sports programmes around the county at a time when it was totally unheard of. These live on and continue to grow and thrive today with new generations experiencing that gift of sport.

Since Anne's death, so many people in IWA have been recollecting such positive stories about Anne's impact on so many of our Members lives, both in the past, but also reflecting on that impact into the future.

The significance of the role that Anne played in IWA, how well loved and regarded she was by so many in the IWA family, as well as the Irish Paralympic community, and the international Paralympic movement is very clear and her legacy will live strongly on.

Thank you Anne - May you rest in peace
