My deepest sympathies to Anne's siblings and her close friends on her sad passing. I was so lucky to know her and to have worked under her guidance - she was a brilliant Advising Examiner for the Leaving Cert. practicals. She shared her fountain of knowledge with so many of us in the teaching community. I will never forget her warm, considerate and thoughtful personality. She offered me excellent advice when my late Mum fell very ill and she always maintained a great sense of positivity, enthusiasm and joy about life. I feel privileged to have known her and I am deeply saddened and shocked to hear she has passed away so young. She made the world a better place - may her gentle soul Rest in Peace x

My deepest condolences and sympathy to all of Anne’s family and friends. Ms. Maxwell was always such a genuine and caring teacher, who always wanted the best for her students. It was through her passion for music, that she inspired so many young people to do what they love. I always remember how she loved a good sing-song with a few harmonies thrown in. Even after school, Anne was always a pleasure to meet and talk to. I think of her often as I continue my studies and always will, and hope that I can inspire a fraction of the people she did within my lifetime. May her gentle soul bless heaven with her kindness, encouragement and talent. Rest in peace.

We were very sorry to hear of Anne's death. We met her in December 2020 when she handed us the keys to the cottage we had just bought from her. Although we only spent a hour or so with her, we really felt an instant rapport and it was clear that she was a really lovely person. We've since met many of her former neighbours in Drumshanbo, all of whom have confirmed that impression. Sincerest condolences to her family and friends.
