My sincerest sympathies to Anne’s brother Joe, nephews, and family on Anne’s death. I got to know Anne when as a seminarian in Carlow College I had the privilege of working with the Tinryland Parish Choir. Anne, along with her best friends Mary Kinsella and Marie McArdle, RIP, were faithful members of the choir. Later on, I got to know Anne better when she came to visit Mary Kinsella at the Parochial House in Tinryland. Occasionally, I came upon Mary, Anne and Marie as they strategised for their weekly night out in Rathcrogue House. FrDenis Doyle and Mary Kinsella made the choir very welcome for the occasional supper and entertainment in the Parochial House. Choir members provided the entertainment and Anne sang her party piece. Now she can join the choirs of Angels in God’s House. Ceolta na nAingeal go gcloise sí. Gnúis Dé go bhfeice sí.
