In the 1970's a few good men & women stepped forward and ensured Rialto was not left behind in the development of the districts of Dublin. Tony was one of those few good men & women. Community Facilities, Youth Support Structures, Community Activities, -he was part of that small group, lobbying at the highest levels for Rialto. His contribution was significant. It was a pleasure to work with him, learn from him and witness the success that is Rialto today. Thank You Tony Carroll.

Sincere sympathy to Larry, Mary, Ann and all the Carroll family.

The Dunne family from New Ireland Rd offer their deepest sympathies. It’s a sad week for Rialto as our Mam passed away last Saturday. Mam always thought your Dad was a very handsome man. My memory of him was running the GAA dances in the CIE club. It was my first dance and I was only allowed go because Mr. Carroll and Mr. Lane were organizing it. May they all Rest In Peace. Sheila,

Rialto has lost another great community man with the sad passing of Tony Carroll. I would have known Tony for a long time. One of the main men in Liffey Gales [ Rialto Gales ]. When my brother John was unconscious and in the Richmond hospital from a hurling accident. Tony was the the man that was always there for my mother. She spoke very highly of him. Tony played a major part in getting St. Andrew's community centre up and running all those years ago. He held the purse strings on our festival committee. A complete gentleman, that played the father figure to so many young kids down the years. He will be sorely missed by all who knew him. My mother always told me '' that people you know will fit in the church, your friends will fit in the pulpit ''. Well Tony was one of those. Rest in peace Tony, it was a pleasure to have crossed your path.
— Paddy Lyne
