His charm and charisma shone through as a generation of dancers listented intently to his inspiring, encouraging and always fair adjudication comments spoken so elocquently in his beautiful lilting voice. Deepest sympathy to Rosaleen and family on the death of Anthony. When Anthony and Rosaleen came to teach dancing in Ahane back in the late 50s it was a major event in our lives. The pupils came from every corner of the parish, from Coolnahila to Gardenhill and everywhere in between. They treated us like their own children. Anthony was firm, fair and fun, he will never be forgotten. May he Rest In Peace.

Ba mhian liom mo chomhbhrón a chur in iúl do mhuintir Tony. It was with deep sadness that I heard of Tony's passing. I have fond memories of Tony teaching Irish dancing on the MA Irish Traditional Dance Performance programme at the University of Limerick and also in the dance studio in O'Connell Street, Limerick. Tony was a gentleman and a wonderful Irish dancing teacher. He will be sadly missed. May he rest in peace. I láthair Dé go mbeidh sé ag rince.

I'm so sorry to hear of the passing of Tony. He was a lovely man along with his lovely wife Rose who introduced me into the world of Irish dancing over 25yrs ago in a small primary school in County Limerick. I have many fond memories of dancing on a Saturday with you both and I hope you are dancing in heaven Tony xx

Comhbhrón ó chroí le Rose agus le Niamh, Daire agus Cian. Sad to learn of Anthony's death. Memories flooded back of Féile Luimní in the early 1950s - when I was a young boy - and of Anthony, in his prime as an outstanding dancer, thrilling packed houses at the old St John's Pavillion hall or the 'Tech' in O'Connell Avenue, with his athleticism and fine footwork. So sorry to hear of the passing of Mr. Nolan. Tony was a gentleman and he was the man who gave me my grá for Irish Dancing from such a young age. I am so lucky to have such wonderful memories with both Tony and Rose and it is clear that he was inspiration to so many young people and a legend in the world of Irish Dance.
I hope you are dancing in heaven now, Tony. RIP X
